Administrative Officer
<undefined>Under administrative direction, directs the operations of the administrative function of the Council district office. Works to preserve the Councilmember's standing in the community. This is the second-highest ranking position within a Council district office and will only have one incumbent. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.<br id="isPasted"><br>Work locations and schedules may vary, depending on position and Council District. Council Aide positions are subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason. This posting may be used to fill full time, part time, and temporary positions, depending on available opportunities.<br></undefined><ul style="margin-bottom: 3pt;" id="isPasted"><li>Oversees the constituent services, communications, and event services functions within the Council district office.</li><li>Collaborates with City staff to solve complex policy and operational issues.</li><li>Works with relevant stakeholders on issues raised by City residents.</li><li>Addresses constituent services requests and complaints that have been escalated due to special circumstances. May escalate to the Councilmember based on the situation.</li><li>Ensures Council district office coverage for daily operations.</li><li>Supervises, develops, trains, selects, and evaluates personnel. Helps establish guidelines and policy for assigned staff. Assists Councilmember in evaluation of personnel in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.</li><li>Prepares for Council sessions by pulling agenda, reviewing for items of concern, and ensuring the Councilmember is prepared to discuss and comment on topics and matters of concern.</li><li>Responsible for managing the budget of assigned areas and development of future budgetary requests.
