Newsletter Strategist / Copywriter (Part-Time, Ongoing)
The role
I'm a keynote speaker and author working in the future-of-work, generational, and AI-adoption space. I create a lot of content — a new book, a steady stream of LinkedIn posts, podcast interviews, and material generated by my speaking engagements — and I need someone to turn that raw material into a sharp, consistent newsletter.
The goal: keep my past event audiences engaged between touchpoints so they become future prospects — referring me to other events, bringing me into their own organizations, or simply staying warm. This is a monthly (bimonthly at most) send, so quality and consistency matter more than volume.
What you'll do
Primary focus — distill and write. Take a pile of existing source material (book excerpts, LinkedIn posts, interview transcripts, talk content) and figure out what matters. I need someone who can quickly digest a lot of inputs, prioritize the strongest ideas, and shape them into simple, compelling copy that resonates and, ideally, converts. Editorial judgment is the whole job — knowing what to cut, what to lead with, and how to make it land.
Secondary focus — set it up. Help get the newsletter running in a tool like Mailchimp (or comparable): templates, list setup, scheduling, and light formatting. You don't need to be a technical wizard here, just comfortable getting things live and looking clean.
You're a strong fit if you
Write tight, persuasive copy with a clear voice — no fluff, no filler
Can synthesize a large volume of material fast and surface the best of it
Understand audience-building and how a newsletter turns readers into opportunities
Have run newsletters before and can point to examples
Are comfortable in Mailchimp or a similar email platform
Nice to have
Experience writing for professional / B2B audiences (HR, L&D, leadership, events)
A sense for repurposing existing content across formats
Familiarity with what makes speaker or thought-leadership content work
Logistics
Cadence: one newsletter per month, bimonthly at the absolute most
Ongoing, part-time engagement
I'll supply the source material; you own the editorial and production
