Sr. Back-End Software Developer (Jira and Atlassian Solutions)

Develop and manage automated solutions and governance standards within the Atlassian ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Drive governance and hygiene standards to optimize the Jira environment for consistency and performance.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve business processes and user experience.
  • Own the overall health, availability, and maintenance of Jira and Confluence systems.
  • Collaborate on technical integrations between Atlassian systems and external cloud or IT systems.
  • Support business stakeholders by implementing Project Management best practices and guidelines.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of back-end software development experience using Python, Node, Golang, Spark, or Scala.
  • 7+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence, including workflows, standardization, and permissions.
  • 6+ years of Jira administration, governance, and Project Management best practices.
  • Proficiency in automated scripting with Python, Node, or Golang.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs to build automation, dashboarding, or monitoring capabilities.
  • Proven experience with data migration across different systems.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Jira with external enterprise systems like HR, Incident Management, or monitoring tools.
  • Cloud platform experience.
  • Experience managing end-to-end lifecycles, including development, release, and planning.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in CIS/MIS, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
