Text Reviewer, Proofreader – German Language

Job Description:

  • Correct spelling mistakes in OCR-processed news clippings to ensure error-free copy and a consistent style
  • Ensure that headlines, photos, captions and other text zone types are correctly referenced and represented in the text
  • Verify that news articles are complete and that no subsequent pages are missing
  • Ensure that news clippings are correctly represented in PDF format
  • Report any quality issues to the team

Requirements:

  • High proficiency in written English and German (minimum B2 under the CEFR standard)
  • Availability to work from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (GMT+8)
  • Strong time-management skills; able to effectively prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Comfortable with digital platforms; able to quickly adapt to our proprietary publishing system and communicate technical issues to the team
  • Must complete one assessment test before the interview and one live assessment test during the interview with a member of our team
